How do you know when it’s time to let them go?

“But for pets and people both, it’s not always clear when the time has come. The process is not always linear. I know Henry is dying. But I haven’t a clue how I’ll know when Henry would be better off dead.”

I’ve been there and can empathise. The guilt is overwhelming as we know we’re playing ‘God’ with the ability to euthanise… and whilst we want to release our pets from their pain.. are we doing it too soon.. are we being too selfish in wanting to release them.. could they have had a lot longer to live ?

How do you know when it’s time to let them go?

  1. This is such a thought provoking question and there’s really no right answer. I’ve been through it and all I know is that it’s one of the hardest thing us as pet owners go through.
