Aunty Rebecca is our pet sitting and dog walking carer across Central Gold Coast.

Aunty Rebecca’s 5 reasons why being a dog sitter is the best job!

Rebecca was born and raised on Sydney’s Northern Beaches but in March 2011 she and her husband made the decision to move the family out to the Gold Coast.

Even though Rebecca has a busy schedule managing a home, two young sons, and a husband as well as pet-kids of her own (Owen, an 11-year old Golden Retriever, a 3-year old AWL adopted Ragdoll cat called Prinny and two Isa brown chickens) she is brimming with positive energy and happiness which transfers on to the animals she cares for on behalf of Gold Coast Pets.

She loves the fact that she gets to meet an array of wonderful people most days and really believes that all pet-parents are kind hearted and friendly and so grateful that she is there to “spoil” their pet-babies.

As a child, Rebecca always had animals of her own from rabbits to mice and guinea pigs, fish and birds as well as dogs and cats.

Part of her love of pet sitting is because it’s so very interesting. She loves comparing and contrasting all the different breeds and personalities and learning who likes what.

There’s also the fresh air aspect of the job. You are out and about exercising yourself as well as providing an amazing service for the clients.

Rebecca enjoys getting to know her clients and their pets personally and loves it that she sees them on a daily basis and is treated like a buddy by all of her pet charges.

Rebecca also has Certificate 3 in Zookeeping and has a of love exotic animals; her passion being primates..

Rebecca has been pet sitting and walking for 10 years and is an integral part of the team at Gold Coast Pet Sitting
