Introducing Aunty Alee and Aunty Dee  !

We endeavour to work as a team here at Gold Coast Pet Sitting.  Whenever and where-ever possible your primary Pet Carer will be the carer you will deal with most often however if s/he is ill, injured, is unavailable to do a specific visit or walk or just “needs help” … Vanessa or another “team mate” is their back up and helper !   This ensures that there is continued care for your beloved pet-family…..

Just a quick note: The Human GCPS (aka “GCPets”) Family Members below are a team of independent contractors not employees.  All sub-contractors with GCPS have their own police certificate (or blue card), public liability insurance, current legal driver’s license and ABN (are their own businesses) which can be viewed by any client upon request.  Unfortunately, most other pet sitting businesses on the Gold Coast operate within sham contracting arrangements, GCPS has the integrity to be compliant as per the Fair Work Australia Act and ATO rulings.

Alee is an official Gold Coast Pet Sitting – Live In House Sitter, Pet Sitter + Dog Walker. She services currently Coolangatta, Kirra, Tugun, Currumbin, Currumbin Waters, Tallebudgera, Elanora, Palm Beach, Burleigh, Burleigh Waters, Miami, Varsity Lakes, and Robina for pet sitting and dog walking.  Aunty Alee is available outside of this service area upon her availability.  She is available across the South Gold Coast for Overnight Stays.  Aunty Alee  is open to last minute bookings when available.

Alee was born in Sydney but, grew up on the Gold Coast. Alee was surrounded my animals from a young age as her grandparents had a hobby farm. Alee got her first pet when she was twelve; a boy cat called Timone. Since then Alee and her family have welcomed several goldfish, a fighting fish and two hermit crabs into their home.

When Alee isn’t playing with her pets she is studying for a double Bachelor of Criminology and Jurisprudence at Bond University. Alee is also an active member of Surf Life Saving Queensland and enjoys patrolling and competing for her club. In addition to training, Alee stays in shape by exercising her friends dogs for them.

Alee is a friendly, upbeat, reliable person who not only loves pets but, also knows how to give them the proper care they need. As an athlete Alee understands the importance of phsyical activity however, she believes that mental stimulation is equally important and therefore endeavours to incorporate both into her pet sitting/dog walking work.

Dee is an official Gold Coast Pet Sitting – Pet Sitter + Dog Walker. She services currently Oxenford, Helensvale, Coomera, Upper Coomera, Monterey Keys, Pacific Pines, Pimpama, Hope Island, Willow Vale, Maudsland. Aunty Dee is NOT available outside of this service area.

Aunty Dee

Duonette (aka “Dee” or “Aunty Dee”) grew up in New Zealand. She grew up around dogs and horses. With thanks to her Father being a horse trainer she also learnt to ride horses from a young age. Her Mother was a Vet Assistant therefore Dee witnessed many dogs who needed special attention. She had two dogs who she adored when she was growing up. Dee has owned 3 border collies and a cat herself in her adult life. Dee currently owns one border collie named Patch and a cat named Harry. She has also in the last 2 years been heavily involved in the Seeing Eye Dogs Association. She has been a full time volunteer and helped alongside a professional trainer, reinforcing training techniques. Taking a Labrador with her in all sorts of social situations to get it used to the lifestyle it needs to learn for a year and a half: from puppy stage to adulthood.

Dee has also taken care of Seeing Eye Dogs for carers who no longer wish to care for them or who need assistance with care or go on holiday.  (Note from Vanessa (the owner):  We currently offer free “dates with Patch” Aunty Dee’s awesome dog after temperament testing to see if Patch and your dog will “get along”.)

Duonettes first priority is to praise and spoil animals and give them what they need to enjoy themselves: exercise, playing and plenty of love. She is happy to help in all aspects to make your pet feel happy and relaxed in your home.
